Rachel Potter

Rachel Potter invites you to share a magical world of fanciful birds, darting dragonflies, and rabbits of wisdom in her creative, yet, intuitive, mixed-media paintings. Her work incorporates a variety of media including watercolor, acrylic, ink, encaustic, and fabric/fiber arts. Rachel has shown her work at numerous galleries and shows across the Pacific Northwest and in Minnesota.

Rachel received her BA in Fine Art and Creative Writing from Linfield College (University now) in Oregon, which included a semester in Nottingham, England. She continued her studies in Painting at Minneapolis College of Art and Design in Minnesota and Graphic Design at the Art Institute of Portland in Oregon.

She also owns a children’s fashion company, Baby Bird Designs, which specializes in appliquéd clothing for babies and children.
 

Rachel has been teaching art to children in schools and other organizations since she taught her first classes in Honolulu, Hawaii. She has continued to teach children’s art classes in Minnesota, Oregon, and Washington state.
 

Rachel has taught art classes to children in Bellingham since 2017 through the Allied Arts Education Project.
